Times Tables Snakes

This is the second of three talks designed to support people who want to help their children learn and understand times tables. In this session, I will introduce Times Tables Snakes which I created to provide children with a visual map of the facts they need to learn. I will talk you through the wonderful patterns that each snake presents and explain how tricky facts can be calculated from easier facts. I will show you how colour, pictures and rhymes can be used to create a personalised, multisensory resource for your child.  This resource has proved to be particularly effective for children who benefit from visual representations. Packs of snakes, with the accompanying handbook, will be available for purchase during the evening.
